What is harrison mccain?

Harrison McCain (1927-2004) was a Canadian businessman and co-founder of McCain Foods Ltd., the world's largest frozen french fry manufacturer. Along with his brothers, Wallace and Andrew, he started the company in 1956, which grew to have over 20,000 employees operating in 160 countries.

McCain was born in Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of farmers. He attended Acadia University before serving in the Canadian Army during World War II. After the war, he worked for his father's seed potato business before starting McCain Foods Ltd.

McCain was known for his philanthropy, contributing millions of dollars to various organizations, including universities, hospitals, and the arts. He also served on numerous boards, including the Royal Bank of Canada and the Toronto-Dominion Bank.

He was awarded the Order of Canada in 1984 and the Order of New Brunswick in 2001. McCain passed away in 2004 at the age of 76.
